Mechanical Engineer
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, plant maintenance, fabrication, installation or construction projects.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting AutoCAD 2D and 3D drawings and technical drawings.
- Able to understand BQ, RFQ, Work Orders and project requirements.
- Good communication and coordination skills when dealing with clients, site personnel, contractors, suppliers and internal teams.
- Possess good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Able to plan and prioritise site activities according to project requirements and work urgency.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Description
- Read, interpret and understand AutoCAD 2D and 3D drawings for project execution and site works.
- Review and understand BQ (Bill of Quantities) and RFQ (Request for Quotation) requirements and coordinate with the Procurement team to obtain and prepare quotations.
- Attend site visits, liaise with the site PIC, gather project information, take measurements where required, and identify site requirements.
- Conduct regular toolbox meetings with site personnel before commencing work and ensure workers understand the work scope, hazards and required safety practices.
- Monitor site work progress and provide updates to management on project status, material requirements and site issues.
- Coordinate and arrange daily site activities and allocate work to site workers according to project priorities and Work Order requirements.
